Sasquatch, a.k.a. Bigfoot, Yeti, Aah yik ii. Sasquatch is a local dude here on the West Coast. The hill just south of here has been unofficially renamed Sasquatch Hill in honour of the entertaining stories we have heard in these parts. For some of my drawings, I take an extraordinary amount of time to tweak the outline and perfect the content. But in this instance, I could not attempt to redraw all that hair! The scratchy feeling sketch of this tessellation mirrors the hard evidence we have of its existence. Shaky videos, grainy cellphone photos of footprints, screaming audio files, and scary tales of Aah yik ii from a Nuu-Chah-Nulth friend… Lovely.
