Puppy Training tessellation

This symmetry group was the first one with which I completed a successful tessellation, the Frogs. Way back in 1988, in the dark ages. Symmetry group P4g. Head to head, elbow to elbow, feet to feet is how I decipher these nested shapes. A very simple technique, a square built of four identical mirrors with a four-way rotation point right in the middle. Again, mirrors are not my favourite. But at least in this tessellation, I was able to fit in more than one character, the girl and her begging puppy.

This is one of those revisited tessellations, those that were done a few years ago, but required a certain amount of tweaking before going public.

2018-10-18; A nightmare of different colours if I tried to screen-print this one, 18 colours just for the dogs. Hurrah for giclée printing!
